Yeah, not very wise posting copyrighted material to the forum.

Looking at your pictures, the red paint seems to be only on the inside?
Also, it looks like Navy grey paint under the outside coat of green?

    Some result

    1st: Lime Green
    2nd: Black
    3rd: Brown?
    4th: Navy Grey
    5th: Red
    6th: Navy Grey
    7th: Steel
This is for the first time i've met a shell with wide array of paint layers!
As far as i know black is the color used by the indonesian special police forces the Brimob. Brown paint... i'm not sure. The students in the military academy wore a brown colored beret. Or the AA unit. But their helmet, i've no idea.
Maybe the history of this shell is:
First was meant for the US navy and later repaint into become onboard repair parties or onboard firefighter unit. Repaint again as navy helmet, maybe for the Dutch navy post war?
Repaint as brown when the shell handed over to TNI. Repaint again when the shell was relegated for the police forces. And finally repaint again maybe for TNI reserve unit. Too many history i think.
Should i continue it? Which paint should i choose?
Should i continue the restoration full job like my stahlhelm?

    Before

    After

Some unexpected things beneath the outer paint, number 112 and "Erugiyo" in katakana kanji.

Or halfjob restoration like my milsco shell

    Before

    After

Unit insignia, the Brimob old insignia!

For the first restoration, i lost the brimob history forever since at that time i thought the black paint is not original.
For the second restoration, not a beautiful one but you got the story of the helmet.

    So what should i do?

Oh and anyway the heat number is not I but C instead. So is 613C.

On a second thought, i guess i'll leave the shell.
Every layer of paints have their own story. And it's own history.
I guess this shell is becoming my priceless collection.

About the helmet history... maybe after repainted with the navy gray, the shell was used by the US navy personnel again. Later it's used by the dutch maybe by the dutch marine, because they used brown colored helmet. And finally given to the indonesian. This is my guessing though.
