I just got a new M1 helmet with a nice ww2 liner too. It came with a vietnam issue chinstrap but the ww2 liner fits perfectly mine reads 978? I still cant tell mine either. I guess thats the problem with us M1 helmet collectors.

-S1A with an S below it

Welcome patches,got any pics?the first is a McCord around july/august 44 the other is a schlueter but is more likely 51A which would be sometime in 43.......Jake.

what parts of the helmet do u want pictures of in particular and i also have a micarta 1952 liner with odd red tape around the bottom of theliner and over the top-can someone tell me what this means? it has two white lines in front to

sorry for all the questions. i looked at the schlueter helmet and the number is actually 91A with the S underneath. also looking for answer about micarta liner. thanks
