Liner marked US 46 M11 and you can see ghost of net,

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Liner is a non US production item actually produced in south vietnam when the US government aided there war effort by loaning tool heads for there own production run of these liners.note the leather headband strap?no US liner ever carried this also all postwar US liners carry OD shade NO7 webbing not OD 3 khaki which was a US wartime colour but seemed to be the adopted colour to use by oversea's countries cloning.

    My knowledge of M1s is very thin......are you saying that NO US M1 liners have leather sweatbands?

    I think what Jake was referring to was the back of the liner were in this case the sweatband is attached to a leather strip and this would not be the case with a US manufactured liner.

    Its a headband which the Nape attaches too,the webbing colour and leather headband and enlarged rivot heads all point to non US production liners.these were copied all over the globe from South America to Asia.including all the Euro clones copied too.

    Thanks for the info !! Cost me only $5 so no big loss, and useful to learn from you guys .!!

    If the shell is legit $5 is a right steal, liners can be sourced easily enough in the US.

    For 5 bucks doesn't really matter what the Liner is well done on that score.................
