Very interesting read Ian,i've never heard of any seller trying to push more cash for a shell with a 200 prefix number over a later shell within the 700 range,however like all for and against arguments yes it certainly brings many questions with regards to McCords production process.!so now where does the collector stand with regards to the treatment numbers from 28-50 that carried the single number prefix after the main number and letter?are we now saying that these very shells may not be early McCord production runs but could be much later into the mix?to be brutally honest until further evidence can be brought to light,i think we should just continue but keep an open mind.!!!good thread Bud.
It definitely throws the cat amongst the pigeons Jake but like you until a definitive answer comes along I’m sticking with the system thats in place
