m1 helmet olve drab cover?

hey guys, i came across this cover for the m1 helmet on ebay, and the seller says its an early issue vietnam era m1 helmet cover, with no markings at all, is it a fake? cause i only thought mitchell covers were used. if you have any information, please leave it behind, thank you. Carl

hello i got one of these from the same guy last year, i dont think its a fake but like you said it has no markings, the construction is the same as the mitchell covers. there is another thread started by nickd on these covers.
Cannot find any photographic evidence of their use in vietnam or korea or anywhere for that matter..........im sure these are original as i dont think anyone would fake a plain od green cover

heres a photo of mine with two original mitchell covers as well. iv purchased a few items from this seller mostly lee enfield related.....although i got a nice 63 dated m1 helmet off him as well as the od green cover

these covers are the real deal i bought one myself they're thought to be late Korean war to early Nam era

that M-1 you show isn't an M-1C but just a standard M-1

Hi Nick, how are you my friend?
Its a regular M1, i know- but one of the chinstraps is from an M1C

Found it in a pile of junk a year a go

i didn't see that the first time but i do now maybe try & find a matching strap for the other side & a salty Nam airborne liner to make it a complete M-1C

ok cool, i might buy a couple for my new helmets i promised to post a month ago haha, still need to find a late korean/early NAM m1'c helmet for my liner, and thats about it haha. so they haveb een known to not have markings in them?
