Default M1 helmet shell - identification needed

Hi folks, I just picked this up at the Ag Hall show for $85. I thought that was a good deal. Inside it is marked with a black stamped D and 7. The heat stamp number is 1053. It is a front seam, swivel bale, dark green/cork, manganese rim example with bar tacked cloth chin strap. I plan to match it up with an MSA liner. Any idea who made it? NH
