    Type 6 has blackened steel female snaps and type 8 has uncoated female snaps. The paint is non textured on the type 6 but textured on the type 8. So actually mine is the type 8

    Ok so i can see that now.!personally i think Pete was seriously splitting hairs with these types.!all comes down i suppose to preferance.!

    Totally agree I'm thinking to myself how could I ever own every type of St Clair liner he suggests are types. Still the best book I've come across for detailed pics of liners though. There is a copy going on abesbooks.co.uk for £52.70p plus £2.80 postage
