Definitely a WWII era lid - but it has been made up into a
Para helmet, from what I can see.........
Regards,
Steve.
I would say it's a mix of authentic parts and mostly reproduction parts. Looks like a repaint, too.
Im quite a newbie when it comes to us helmets, but after reading NickD's excellent rough guide threads, it looks like a fixed bale, frontseam shell.
Chinstrap and a-strap are repro.
Liner I cant really see from the pics, but the webbing looks khaki and it has a one-piece napestrape, so should be ww2.
Am I right here?

Not all paratrooper helmets have "D" bails.
as already stated by other members this is a piece of junk yes the shell is a front seamed fixed bail version but its been repainted the liner (if US) has been ruined with a very bad attempt at turning into an airborne version
this would be known as an M-1C US airborne helmet if it had "D" bails it would be known as an M-2
The funny thing is that the seller titled the add: WWII US para helmet M1 with "D" bails
