My latest Vietnam era M-1 helmet

Hiya guys

here's my new ebay pick up its a WW2 front seamed swivel bailed SCHLUETER made shell painted a very nice shiny dark green the liner is also WW2 but i cant see the makers mark as there's to much crud in there the webbing is very dry & brittle & looks to have held water for a while

the cover has had some repairs to it but these look era done & the chin strap is well & truly used these must have been attached by the soldier as he's got one around the wrong way all in all a great looking & very salty M-1

Amazing, it still has the cork on it after all of that use. and a front seam Schuleter no less. Nice find.

it is pretty cool & came as a great surprise when i found out it was a Schuleter made shell

this looks like it very well could have been used in Vietnam, the liner & shell appear to have been together for a very long time, probably an original VN era used set.

the cover has all so been on there for some time as well as it was stuck to the liner were the rust spot is & it has become very much part of the shell so a very nice re-issued WW2 helmet & liner for Vietnam use
