Article about: hiya guys well this is a new addition the the collection an M-1 that seems to be made up of so many different parts thats why its nicknamed "Frankenstein" its a repainted front see

    Sorry to have taken so long.............I'll post some I've found like yours
    in a day or two.

    I have quite a few and must dig them out of the storage
    cabinets to photograph them first ! !

    Found a few, not quite the same, but should be interesting....
    Now to find the space and time - I'll remove nets, covers, liners and take pics......

    Fixed bale, WWII.

    Most of these are swivel bale and have modern chin straps.
    The helmet with the name "SKINNER" is a front seam swivel bale as pictured...

    Just behind the netting of the shot above can be seen the replacement type strap clip.
    There are a broad mix of liners..... !

    great collection of reissued lids you have there mate

    thanks for taking the time to post these but if you ever get the time to get pic's of each lid that would be so cool

    That's a good term - reissued - as I think they range from WWII, into the 80's
    or 90's when the Canadian Army started using Kevlar.

    I don't think the "Magic Marker" pen was invented until the 60's........

    i just think this type of lid have got so much more character to them if only they could talk i bet they would have great stories to tell
