I'm curious with the name and rank stencils on each side if this helmet was actually in Vietnam as a "Combat" vet or if was a state side training used helmet? With places down South it's not impossible for a helmet to get this abused. Regarless of if it's a combat helmet or not, it is a nice set which are rare from the Vietnam era.

My first assumption when looking at the helmet was a combat used look, but I have not been able to find anything about Sgt. Osborne so I can't say for sure right now.
