Need help: Did M-1 chinstraps change in WW2??

Article about: I have a front seam Dark green swivel bail helmet that I believe is ww2. Only issue is that the sown on helmet straps do not have the rounded hooks on the end, but the flat square shaped hoo

    I have a front seam Dark green swivel bail helmet that I believe is ww2. Only issue is that the sown on helmet straps do not have the rounded hooks on the end, but the flat square shaped hooks.. does this mean it's not ww2 era?

    sounds like you have a WW2 shell re-issued during the Korean war but pictures would help

    ok I will try to post pictures, so does this mean that in the Korean war they still sowed on the chinstraps to the bales?

    yes they did at some point they started to use the metal clip as seen on Vietnam era M-1s but these were painted green rather then being blacked.
