can anybody give me an idea as to what the dots that are on each side signify,i know the dot behind the spade means 506th but not the others, cheers Dave

i think its just another way of showing the persons rank without the use of highly visible white stripes maybe ???????

Interesting lid.

I think the dot signifies 1st battalion at 3:00 - 2nd at 6:00 - 3rd at 9:00 - HQ at 12:00.

Very nice find! Too bad the liner with the paratrooper chinstrap was not with it.
