This seller must be laughing all the way to the bank talk about win win situation....must have some serious contacts.I agree with Nigel they should be donated to a museum.there's still plenty of M1's still in circulation without needing these....only the top end spec collectors are after these type of lids....I prefer the salty combat been to hell and back look...cheers Jake.

I'd like one as a comparison, a sort of before and after WW2 thing. I've been thinking of getting a repro to do just that. A real one would be great.

    Best Regards,

    Andy

That is a hell of a find. The real money won't hit the screen until the end of the auction

Lol, Bob - That is exactly what I was thinking as I typed !

The bid is now $441,97. Perhaps the bidder(s)
think it is for the whole lot.........? !
    Regards,

    Steve.

Thats what I was exactly thinking Nigel...perhaps the bidder is expecting a crate to arrive....in for a shock, but the seller does clearly state the description that the auction is for one yes one lid and so on......cheers Jake...update the selller has obviously been bombarded with questions and so has printed in the boldest letters that "THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE HELMET AND LINER ONLY YOU DO NOT GET THE ENTIRE CRATE".....
