Original WWII WW2 US M-1 Front Seam Helmet, Fixed bale, with Liner Vintage Collectible
This is an original WW2 U.S. M-1 McCord brand "465" from feb.1943 Front Seam Helmet with Liner. It is in good condition. The helmet exterior has nice texture and 95% paint back with age darker patina. Liner is in good condition, produced by Firestone brand "F 30".
Sort of a grey area to be precise,meaning yes its an original front seamed FB McCord shell and ww2 Firestone liner,but the fact that the seller hasn't actually stipulated that the shell has in fact been repainted?what is "Paint Back with age darker patina"?also has not mentioned the alternative T1 type chinstraps either so yes the shell and liner are indeed ww2 produced but at the same time have had slight alterations to them therefore seriously adjusting the value which has to be taken into account,if a discount in some way is offered then i suppose it would sit better,but as it stands that paint and chinstrap would way far to heavy on my mind to keep it and constantly look at it................
