para medic helmet?

hi, this medic helmet came up and i like it but i have a concern. it says it paratrooper but the straps dont have the snaps. what do you think??

That paint is awfully bright... I'd expect it to be much more subdued/faded.

I also don't like the large amount of scratches on the paint... looks like artificial wear to me...

Hi Patches! Not all airborne helmets were strictly M2/M1C jump helmets there are plenty of airborne unit worn standard M1's due to shortages etc. Could be wrong but the paint work looks dodgy on this helmet see what the others say! Cheers! Sean.

I know the seller ,I have bought 3 helmets from him no problem.
But I think he got this one wrong.

I also find it strange why it seems to have OD7 coloured chin strap with a raised bar brass buckle.
yet if it wasn't for the strap and medic insignia it looks like a good fixed bail. As I say paint work is always difficult to judge.
To me that looks like the original cork finish, what do the rest of you think.

The helmet we are talking about is for sale on Ebay.
There is more pictures of it on the site.
Does any one see any red flag here .

Hi Chris the medics insignia and 509th markings if I am correct? Look like post war additions to me sorry. Could be wrong but see what the general consensus is! I suspect it will be negative. Cheers! Sean.

I agree look at the crack there is paint inside of it.

I dont like the "Doc" name on the rim....it seems too perfect.
