Is it getting harder to find those nice lids at the States ?

    I like your netted M-1.

    Thank you for sharing.

Looks like you have a nice U.S.N. Corpsman Helmet. They used this style in the PTO.

    Thank you for posting.

    Regards,
    Taka
I believe you are partially correct. It's for sure some type of PTO medical lid judging by the paint scheme, but it's named to a man from the Army. We'll see when I get my research done

    Default My M1'S 2013

    Hello fellow collectors,

I really only started collecting M1's in late 2012, so 99% of my collection was purchased in 2013.

Not really in the same league as most of the others here, but I think it's a nice beginners collection and I have learnt so much from researching the examples I have (and from this site). This small collection represents the small evolution of the M1 from 1943 - 1983. There are a few nice Nato clones and South American issued here as well.

Where will I find room for 2014?

    Kind regards,
    Chris

Thanks for the kind words, Jake! The 59er was a stroke of luck. Found the whole set in an antique mall for $35. The Blue Anchor I also lucked out with. Mislabeled on EBAY. In addition, The shell appears to have been repainted for Korea however has USN blue underneath.

Happy hunting to you as well!
