Hello again! This helmet arrived in the mail today and i just wanted to know which era it is. The liner has a W inside a circle with four AOs? inside a cross, it also has a micart? sticker and an anchor stamped on the chinstrap. It looks like rodents chomped on the liner.
My apologies again if the ipod pics suck.

The shell and liner are 1950s, the stamp with the anchor indicates that it is 1950s

the shell looks ww2 rear seam vintage, liner is 51-54 production, however never seen one with the MIRCARTA stamp and the CAPAC cross?chinstrap anchor stamped made by NORTH&JUDD 1965-1967 in steel, shell has postwar repaint, regards minnie.

just wondering as grommet hole means early 1950's no grommet hole means late 50's to early 60's

I think this is an area of confusion... I have two WWII era MSA liners. One has the grommet hole, the other doesn't...

I believe the anchor is the maker mark for a company that made buckles for M1 Helmet chinstraps during the Korean War era
