Thoughts on this helmet and liner?

    The Japanese did not sign the Geneva Convention, so Medics with big red crosses were easy targets for snipers. The Japanese would single them out as prime targets.

    Makes sense... but couldn't the same be said for soldiers with big ole' white dots on their helmets?

    Still, I suppose it would be less conspicuous than a red cross.

    German did not go after US medic because if you were a german soldier hurt they would help them.

    Just for some more info, I have heard that the white dot had been started in use due to the problem that the Japanese would not obey the "Official Rules of war" (I named them that because I do not know what they are called) and kill the corpsmen even though it was against the "rules" so to avoid this the corpsmen started to paint the dot on the back of there helmet to have as a symbol that the US personnel would know and the Japanese wouldn't know what it is.

    Nope, not Vietnam green, it's the camera that's off with the colour. Guaranteed WW2 factory finish.

    Its an aid to help snipers zero their point of aim.
