Nice to add another to your collection. This one certainly has seen it's fair share of use and cool to have a different color!

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Helmet belonged to John Ogden Fisher was the 49th Field Hospital. Chaplain Fisher was a Unitarian and was one of only 25 that served during WW2. The 49th field hospital was in the ETO and was stationed just a few miles from the front lines.
The helmet is a swivel loop front seam helmet with a painted cross on the front and follow me stripe on the rear. His name written in the helmet. The liner is a reissue, the liner is missing it’s cross but has another insignia under the paint, and a name or something under the word chaplain. The name Fisher written in the liner on the left and right side

I'm glad to see that you made it home and finally got this in your collection.

The helmet is a McCord heat stamp 366c. The liner was made by firestone.
Picture of Fisher later in life.

New information has come to light. The liner does belong to Lt. Fisher but it’s believed that the helmet was not Fishers but the helmet is a authentic WW2 Chaplains helmet. The cross is small and fits well with a Unitarian Chaplain.

Painted 6th Division Chaplain WW2 liner manufacturered by IMP. I’m not sure when the liner was painted, I assume post war.
