US M1 Hawley

Here is my US M1 Hawley. Would love your thoughts on it.

I would say overall condition is good.

It is missing the chinstrap and there is some wear on the front lip.

The pot is a fixed bale. Has a few stress cracks on the back but they do not go all the way through.

Hi Michael,

Nice late type Hawley there.

There are numerous combinations for the Hawley, they depend on the liner system, yous for example are all triangular washers with removable chin strap "studs".

Here is my one and only example. (Mid type)

Big help. Still learning about these. I know they were made for a very short time, did not realize they had different variations. Is mine a "mid" too?

[Patches]

here is mine which is an early version hawley and it is not in the best condition. I like yours and it seems to be in good condition. Some day i want to try and get a later hawley. Mine has a little bit of personality but nothing compared to yours Taka.
