    Hi Danny,

    Thank you for the comment.

I too, would like to own an Early version, but your example is an Officer one which is not easy to come by at all.

    Cheers!

yes, i havent seen many like it. I just kept an eye out on ebay since i feel that is basically the best place to find military items if you know what you are looking for. I like the "war is hell" qoute written in it too because it makes it different like yours. I am having trouble getting a lieutenant pot for it now.

Nice ones made of some type of fiberboard or so weren't they I had one in basic training in 1971 until it frayed too much around the edges had me turn it in supply sarge probably threw it in the dumpster. timothy

If there is a "G" stamping on the inner dome would be a G.F. Co made, I think.

    Hi Michael,

Can you post some close shot of your liner, please?

    Thank you and regards,
    Taka

P.S.: Here is my making on my example.

    Is that right?

I've seen an identical mark on another Hawley liner few years, ago.

I guess I'm wrong. Thank you, Jake.

I need to take a look again because I remember there weren't "LINER - FIBRE - M1" in my memory.
