Re: US M1 Helmet Date unknown
The liner is a Dutch one. Made in 1990 by Schubert Helme in Germany for the Dutch. The shell is not Dutch, wrong chinstrap. The shell could be a Euro clone, but just as easily a US one. Check on the inside of the peak. If you see some figures it almost certainly is US. Could you make a pic of the capital in the rear?
I am curious!
Cheers,
Emile

There is no number stamped any where on the inside / rim / outside of the helmet.
I have photoed the D and circled it in red it maybe just a scratch. but seams to be to clear to be a scratch. the photo is taken on my phone i will get a macro lens photo in daylight

Re: US M1 Helmet Date unknown
i gave the helmet a scrub out today , there are no marking what so ever on the inside. not even ones that should be on the M53. And the D i thought was on the back is a scratch.
