Interesting. I can see it in your picture of the green side. Maybe it's only on the brown side. If so yours looks good.
The liner looks reworked to me?I.M.H.O...............
if thats the camo bloob that the fake covers have its only on the brown side. the the green side has it on the real ones and not on the brown side. this cover looks good with a late 50s EGA stamp and could have been used veitnam. i think the globe on the EGA was opened up in the 50s. the sweat band on the liner looks very new. and if the leather strap on the liner has dot marked on the round rivet im shore its post war to. god to no the maker of the liner.
Well I thought that too Nick, how could a liner be re-worked without any type of damage done to the original paint or rivet heads?maybe we all have an image of what a 70 year old liner should look like, but i must say the webbing does look extremely thin and so does the shoe lace, the sweatband doesn't give me confidence either, its not one for me im afraid...........
being a WESTINGHOUSE liner it would make sense at it being unissued as there were far more of these made & they show up a lot in this condition.
I'm glad you clarified. After looking at his pics I was thinking that might be the case.
