    I know nothing about these Andy,
    Any idea of the age of it, like heat stamps on it, or who made them? Or was there different types ect.
    It looks good to me, nice one.

    I'm a newbie to these really Rod, there is some timeline and different type info here:

    No heatstamp that I can see, but the liner band is placed over where it should be. Looking at it, I would guess it was a totally different production system from the M1, I'd always assumed they just picked out a few M1's off the production lines and modded them. Maybe not, but as I say, I'm new to these, it was just a hole in the collection that I had to fill.

    They're at my parents house in an old G.I. foot locker... I am not sure if they're period/ authentic. If you'd like them, they're yours for free to make up for the brass snafu.
