USMC Helmet Cover

Took a chance on this one for $75 off of ebay.
Any bets on authenticity?
If it is a fake I will just return it as "item not as described."
I will post better pics when it arrives.

i cant really help as to if it is real or not as you can tell from the threads i made for mine but do you have the item number for that? i never saw it.

That was my thought exactly. If its real I got a good bargain, even if it is KW era.
I have a feeling that it is authentic.

What makes you think it is not authentic?
The pics sure are not enough to say for sure but the pattern looks good to me.


Once I get it I will post pics so we can say for sure either way.
I am guessing it is authentic based on:
1. The listing title was not real good: Marine corps helmet with camo cover
Not the best listing title so the guy is likely not into militaria.
2. The sellers other items and sold items are not militaria.
3. The chin straps are sewn on (not a huge thing but a positive).

Oh, and BTW, if it is authentic it could very well be a first pattern cover and that would be a true score.

Here is his description:
Marine corps helmet.Korean era.Helmet in very good condition,Liner also but missing sweat band and chin strap. Helmet straps are in good condition. Rear seam. camo cover in poor condition,torn in the rim area,faded and weakened with age.

The seller had it up for $75 so I asked if he would make it the buy it now price and he did.
To be honest I was surprised.

I cant wait to post more pics so we can say for sure either way.
