Liner is by Firestone
the liner is also Vietnam era and should have a date on the webbing , easy to see if you remove the headband
the camo cover is probably post Vietnam, there should be a date inside the cover on one of the flaps, most have 1976 - 1979 dates
but some have 1969 dates
Thanks !
Cover may be Vietnam brown-dominant ERDL. First adopted by the USMC .

John
Look at the chin strap buckles for an anchor stamp mark and also look for the stamp marks on the inside of the steel helmet this will tell you what type of helmet you have.
Thanks - shell has marking 2223
I would have thought with that heatstamp 1- would be in front as it certainly looks like an Ingersoll shell with that shade of olive drab paint, the liner was contracted in 1965 this was Firestones only contribution with these M1 Duck cotton Liners during the 1960's.are the chinstraps Anchor stamped?overall with the exception of not having a "Mitchell" a nice Nam era Pot.
Thanks for the info. I will get info about the chinstrap. So the deal is that the shell and liner are Vietnam era but not the cover (not 100%) ?
There is an anchor on the chinstrap.
