Weird M1 Medic Helmet

What are your thoughts on this M1? I'm thinking resewn chinstraps, and I have never seen medic insignia like that before.

Weird markings indeed Mo,first for me too,chinstraps could be late war field replacement set using od7 thread,ties in with having what looks like a Brass A washer late war Liner...............
