WW2 first pattern USMC cover

Article about: There was a mint M1 helmet and first pattern cover with EGA that sold on Ebay earlier today for \\$761.22 US. There were 39 bids.........

    I'd still put the EGA to the front of the helmet for display.
    The light 'beach' side is what I'd show as well.........!

    Im not into USMC stuff much, but can some one educate me on differents in Camo pattern? 1st and 2nd?

    cheers mate its not grown that much as things have been very slow on the collecting front.

    first pattern like the one i have has no foliage slits in them but the second pattern dose.

    that's is one nice M-1 with USMC cover looks like they've been together for quite some time just the way i like it
