Is this a WWII US helmet?

I need your fast help.
I just found a helmet on an auction site for only 5$.
I don,t know anything about american helmets, but i searched a little
It,s seems to me a US Vietnam helmet.
It,s just only one day until the end of auction and probably, i can get it for this low price.
Can you help me to decide what type of helmet is this?




UPDATE:Im nearly sure it,s an M1,but i don,t know what era.

to me not WW2 US maybe not even US the only way to tell if its US is to see if it had a heat stamp number on the inside to the front of it ????
