very nice ,,again a amazing peice all i have is a police patch with a peice of tunic and you come up with a hores blanket..!! amazing horst.!! never seen one not thats rare.!

Just the eagles for the horse blanket are EXTREMELY rare. To have the blanket itself with both eagles is MUCH MUCH rarer!

After the war much of the uniforms and equipment were still used for quite some time so all they did was remove the eagles from the blankets and kept using them. To find one with the eagles intact is just beautiful! I would love to find a Gendarmerie horse blanket. I guess I can keep dreaming,
