Fire Police Tunic Real or Fake

Article about: by klinger and whit this way you have the choice of the city and so on That much is true. The only time I saw I tunic I really wanted because of the city was for a Gendarmerie "Klagenfu

    Default Fire Police Tunic Real or Fake

    I got this Fire Police Tunic just need to know if Real or Fake?

    All insignias are off just one unknown patch as shown, but what does this patch mean?

    You buy this off of EBAY? I saw it and passed on it. If I had to guess, I would say its post-war but I might be wrong. The pockets look wrong. Is there any makers marks?

    no not from ebay, maybe the seller got it from there, no maker or something, the postwar wans are just piped on the collar as far as i know and you can see where the insigna has been

    It's for thirty years of service with a Bavarian volunteer fire brigade. This is a post-war insigne and still used today.

    thanks for the info about the 30jährige Dienstzeit, found on an other side they use this dienstalter abzeichen since 1914

    I hadn't known that; that would mean these insignia were abolished when fire brigade uniforms were standardized throughout Germany in the Third Reich era and then re-introduced in the post-war years.
    Out of personal interest; can you post the link to the site you mentioned?

    and in this text there was the picture of this badge as well and have seen it on some other tunics for sale on the internet as well, damm it is so hard sometimes to find something out.

    There would be evidence of a WW2 eagle added as the pre-war tunics were used for quite some time. Some were still wearing them at the end of the war. Is there evidence of a sleeve eagle?

    yes it is and it has the right shape, look at picture 7, not the best picture but it is the arm and has the big patch shape
