A long time in my collection, HBT material with panzer tabs and awards of the War Merit Cross and the '41-'42 Eastern Winter Campaign Medal.

Very salty tunic, heavy perspiration stains evident to underside of neck and armpits.

Could he have been involved in anti-partisan duties in the East with an amoured fighting vehicle of some description?,

Hi, I posted this tunic some weeks ago, it has had plenty of views but not one reply to help me know more about it, any informed comment would be appreciated. Thaknk you Brad.

Well here is what I "know". It is a polizei tunic in the rank of Meister. The boards and eagle are correct. Also, very common for the police to wear the War Merit on the button hole as they won far more of those than Iron Crosses. As far as the items together, they appear correct to me. I cannot tell you if the tunic or collar tabs are right because I deal in more traditonal police items.
