Polizei Wachtmeister photo
Here is a nice photo I got some months ago but have only got around to scanning.
This chap wears a tunic with shoulderboards of the post 1928 type signifying that he was a Wachtmeister.
However, his cap has the 2nd pattern (1936) style cap eagle.
I'm still learning about uniforms etc of the pre 1936 Police so might this be a Prussian Police NCO or am I on the wrong track and it is Fire Police?
Anyhew, it is a nice photo so I thought I'd share it.
Cheers
Jamie

He's a member of a state police force prior to the nationwide standardization of police uniforms. I have only very little material on the pre-1936 badges, so I can't provide much additional detail. However, he's definitely not a member of the Feuerwehren [fire brigades] or the Feuerschutzpolizei [fire protection police], as the uniform and insignia match neither one.
