Polizei / Waffen SS items
Hello!
I received these items from my grandfather, who in 1944 when he was 18 years old worked as a translator in a Russian POW camp in Bodø, Norway.
He worked here for about a year, and in mid. 1945 he volunteered for the front, and was to be sent to Northern Norway to fight the Soviets there, but when he got to Oslo, the capital, the war ended!
Some of this stuff has his name or initials on them, as they were his, and some of the badges etc. are stuff he collected, and some I don't know exactly where is from.
erkennungsmarke
SS patches
SiPo Stahlrute
Helmet
Belt
Badges and pins
The two to the top left are NS Pins (Nasjonal Samling) the Norwegian National Socialist party)
Top right is NSDAP member pin
The ribbon is from a medal (might me Iron Cross, but the colours look reversed?)
Middle left is an infantry badge I think, and then a Crimea campaign badge.
The red badge on the bottom I think is a volunteer workforce badge from Norway.
I'm not sure what the S badge is, the small square ones or the eagle on top.
I also have a German wound badge (no picture yet). I can take more pictures when I get home if you want to see more!

Very interesting set of items. Ekm already identified as per your earlier post.

The Sipo spring blackjack whacker (for want of a better word) looks authentic.

Lovely items from your grandfather. Thanks for sharing.
The NS badge with the green ring around it is from the NSUF, their youth organisation. I've seen the S insignia on shoulderboards before. Believe it some watchforce in Oslo?

Could we see the back of the collar tabs? Very late war!
