Great looking tunic. Isn't it a strange spot for the EK I. Shouldn't it be on the pocket. Something like a sport badge might be worn in that spot.
A municipal officers shako would look great with the tunic but you can get a visor for half the price. Even better just get one of each.

Thank you for your befitting remarks as to the placement of the awards. Obviously we have focused attention on the tunic alone. BTW, presence of a 1st cl. Iron Cross may require a 2nd cl. ribbon/ribbon bar.
Although a "municipal" shako won't differ from a SchuPo one, it's worth confirming that the tunic is for the National Police (Schutzpolizei des Reiches) and not for the Municipal Police (Schutzpolizei der Gemeinden), the two services having merged in 1942.

Stupid question. Why the staff cords on a green piped tunic? I didnt think police had the staff cords and instead had gray or white branch coloured uniforms? Otherwise, I do like the insignia and everything else.

Good photo! So we are saying this tunic is green piped because it has black cuffs and white/gray would show better in the pic? I could believe that.
So.....
At what point are you schutz staff and not schutz admin? Ive been educated once so im all ears now.

Marcus.
That I already knew.
But I didnt think there was Schupo "staff" when they had a Vepo "admin" branch. Seems overly redudant. So who actually made decisions? How were you put in one over the other? Its like saying they had janitors and maintenance. Its the same thing, no?
