would appreciate help on a Polizei tschako adler?

when i took off the "nuts and the small metal plates beneath ( not sure what english words to use!!)" i could see that it is NOT maker marked. i have seen the one at sale at Collector`s Guild who is marked CTD.
any hope for this to be real?
