Moisin-Nagant M91/30 - 1943 marked

Article about: I'm a big fan of the FINN rifles. Also, because the russians refurbed about every 91/30 they had in the 50s-70s, some of the Fin captures are often more original than the once coming out of

    Default Moisin-Nagant M91/30 - 1943 marked

Found this today at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot and Military Gun Show (Kentucky, USA). The bolt, receiver, trigger assembly and bayonet all show matching numbers (which I didn't notice until I got it home). 7.62 x 54, with bayonet for only $99.00US. Another one of those - the price is right, and I have been wanting to get one of these. Nice bright bore with good lands/grooves. Almost looks unfired.
Of course, what good is a rifle without ammo, so I had to get a couple of rounds for it, too. A very good day at the gun show! (not to mention all the full-auto shooting going on all morning, too!)

That is nice! You are lucky. The bayonet I got with mine does not match. But I got a sling, cleaning kit and oiler with mine. Rich A. in Pa.

Are the bayonets supposed to match? I thought that they weren't.

Just put one of these on Layaway at a local gunshop, 1937 dated. If I remember correctly the bayonets should match due to some not fitting to other rifles and getting stuck on there

Yes they supposed to match. And not electro pencil. I have seen a lot of them on the market in Canada. I am not sure how is that in USA.

Stamp matching does not mean these were the original parts. Most that went through refurb were renumbered to match, look at the font on the barrel then look at the stamped font on the butt, bolt and mag catch, they will be different. Also, the bayonets were similarly restamped. most distributors do not match up the bayonets with the rifles when they pull them from the crates.
