Default Red Army Surgical Instrument Set

I acquired this Soviet Army surgical kit in Germany in the late 1970's. According to the family that gave it to me, itwas brought back by German refugees fleeing the east.

The kit appears to be for field use as it is contained in a canvas carry bag. It consists of over 34 elements mounted in 4 trays and includes glass viles of sutures, a surgical syringe kit in a small box, various size scalpels, etc

    The metal box measures 34 x 16 x 9.5 cm or 13 1/3 x 6 1/4 x 3 3/4"

Looks great, interesting that it has a cover, any way field medical tents was carried in special trucks. Looks a period cover and nothing changed in the medical kit from the first WW. Could be a nice addition to the collection

I didn't find any date marks. The individual pieces are mostly maker marked and the syringe kit has the hammer and sickle-medical service insignia, etc.I presume it is 1930-1940 era.
