Russian Ammunition Holder...?

I was at an Antique store today and found this. I have zero experience with Russian militaria, but it was pretty cheap.

It was described as a "Russian Ammo Holder". Curious if anyone recognizes it...is it a replica...or if it's just garbage.

Don't pay too much as i know you can pick these up in the states for less that $5!..

Too late. I paid $12.00. I still like it, but I think I'll pass on the twin.
