Russian Mosin-Nagant ammo pouch? WW2 or Postwar ?

Article about: Can someone help identify this pouch of mine? It looks much like a pouch 'possibly bulgarian' from 7.62x54r.net. Only paid \\$4 for it, but would like to know where it was from. Thanks!

Hi Gus, "Ostfront" make repro pouches but they are different to the ones you show. These cost $25 but are sold out.

    Cheers, Ade.

    My first post so hello.

Appologies for digging up an old thread but I didn't think it was worth making a new one.

Is it possible some could aidentify this MN pouch for me? I suspect it may be post war Polish ones but am not certain.

Also does anyone know the introduction date of the post war 'fake leather' soviet pouches?

    Thanks

    Rich

    Hi,
I do not think these Soviet ammo pouch.
There are too many differences (stitch and shape) even with the post-war fabrications.
    Other opinions ??
    Regards.

Thanks chaps. I think I'll avoid them then, especially as the seller is asking £20 each.

Can anyone help regarding the introduction date of the fake leather Soviet pouches?

Ade, I think that OstFront will have the repro pouches restocked this Fall.

Great thread comrades! I'll have to go dig out my pouches.

Hi Gus, to me that looks like a new made pouch? There is just no age to it: no tarnish to the brass and the leather looks really soft and thin?

Here are some post war, but original pouches. They do not have the D ring on the back and are made of artificial leather.

    Cheers, Ade.
I do have a post war with a D-ring on the back....but just one.
