Soviet Periscope

Hi guys, I received my new periscope finally after almost 2 months of waiting.
It's got the bigger eye cup and can adjust the cup for field of view, Can also twist the tube to block and protect the top lens.
It has a date of 1947 and 1959, I assume the 1959 date is when it was refurbished.
Is the original date of manufacturing 1947?

These sure are neat, and I can see how valuable they must have been for snipers and scouts especially.
I was surprised at how clear the lenses are on it, I did have to remove some cosmoline that dried in the focusing ring, But now it's smooth as butter

For anyone interested. I have learned from a Soviet optics expert that this periscopes major parts are no later than 1940, The dated central tube piece was produced in 1947 and parts were assembled in 1959 during refurbishment. And the case is prewar or early war.
Not bad for a refurb over all
