Hell yes, very much so. The more firearms posts the merrier.

I am not a "gun guy". But I look at the threads posted. Because I don't reply does not mean I don't appreciate them. Many threads go "unanswered". But if we stop posting, the forum dies

Add me to the list of "Yes".I may not reply to a thread, But I do "like" and enjoy them. Semper Fi. Phil
And a big yes from me too. I have only posted a couple of guns, but had a good response. I would like to expand my collection in that direction and will post when able. With firearms not being politically correct at the moment and restrictive licensing in many countries it is vital we keep this part of our hobby alive.
What may be insignificant for ourselves ...may be the Grail of an answer for someone who has been searching ...and has found that little detail that makes that persons day.
I know I have been thrilled at the find of what others may not care about or have overlooked completely.

Every post to the forum is a contribution, however minor. The collective pool of knowledge here is already very wide in scope. We can only make it wider by contributing more. If one person finds the post, and gains some knowledge or experience from it, it was worth the effort to create.

Pretty much the same here. I have two K98 rifles in my collection purchased many years ago and that's it. However, I do appreciate looking at a nice firearm when it's posted. Because I'm not a gun collector I don't have much expertise to contribute to such posts... and that's why I usually just look and don't comment.

So, how do we make those contributors feel valued and their efforts worthwhile?
If I had a pound /dollar for every person who said (later) that they DO value contributions I’d be rich...although I’d rather know that my contributions were worthwhile.
I scan the New Posts lists.....I pick out the most surreal list of things to look at (except TR awards...not my language)....and if I like the post I say so...even if I just like their photography.
Perhaps we should say more...
I enjoy seeing gun posts, usually don't have any useful information to add, so I don't comment.
I do sometimes hit the like button, but maybe not as often as I should.
Hell yea! I posted my trio of Swedish Mausers and barely anyone looked and less commented, but the likes and comments aren't why I do it. I do it because when some person spouts "knowledge" that is far from accurate, it burns my ass. So, I will post real Swedish rifles and some info about them as someone who actually owns some and is familiar with them.
I have a Remington 1100 that is a 4 digit serial number, produced in the first year of production, late 1963. I had a guy tell me that a fore end he had for sale was from a "much older" 1100. I said "Really, then it should be in a museum as it is likely worth millions!"
Point being, with so much BS so readily available, the real deal is needed for people who want to know the facts and see the actual items.
Keep on posting!
