In the actual Deschler model, there is a hint of such on the maxila, but not at all like the dorky copy. The latter are everywhere now, and no serious person is fooled by them.
The popular copy of the Deschler looks nothing like an original.

I have no idea what people at the time thought about these things. I do know that the bulk of black and otherwise caps I own have
the Deschler badge.

It seems to be the most faked also. What a shame. At least most of them look terrible so collectors at least stand a chance.
