Default Is This An Authentic Deschler M1/52 Cap Insignia?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me verify if this is an authentic Deschler M1/52 Cap Insignia. I recently came across some storage bins of mine that were at my Mom's home for the past 15 years or more. I found this metal insignia in one of those bins which I apparently properly stored and then completely forgot I had. I bought this piece in Prague, Czech Republic in the early '90s at some sort of outdoor flea market. The gentleman I bought it from was very old and most of the items he had were Soviet/Warsaw PACT era military uniforms and equipment surplus pieces. I did however notice a large wooden box on the ground with all kinds of metal emblems and insignias, etc. inside it and I went through the box and I found this totenkopf inside some sort of old metal film canister or rations can. I have done a lot of research which lead me to my possible identification and this amazing website. It seems there are many really good fakes out there but for some reason I feel this might be the real thing. It does concern me that the prongs seem to have never been straightened then bent to mount on a cap.
Here are the pics, kindly let me know what you think.
    Regards, Minya

Well not the worst copy I've ever seen, and it would surely fool some collectors. Would be nice to here the differences, why its a fake.
