    Default Dug Totenkopf, real?

Here are several pictures of a dug Peaked visor Totenkopf i purchased. Dug in France about 20 yrs after the war. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated !!! It is a Gesch variant. Thanks everyone !!! If it is real, i would like to know what a fair price for this is, i believe i got a great deal. I like used, tunic removed, & dug items. I know Totenkopfs in good to excellent shape can sell for over $1,000.00 USD.

Sometimes I see skulls in condition like yours for about $250-300.
For instance this one is for 320 USD: SS Visor Cap Skull by "RZM 499/41"

It's a good one and Cysior made a good estimate regarding the value.

I recently saw a Deschler ground dug go for $100, in slightly worse condition than the one shown, and it had no back prongs. I would say for the Assman shown, 200-250 is a good price, maybe even 300.

First of all let met tell you that I'm in no way try to hurt, disgrace or ridicule anyone on this forum but $250 to $1000 for a Totenkopf insignia, you've gotta be kidding.
Have all you Americans lost it?
Here in Europe it isn't worth the metal it was made from.
I've seen the other ridiculous prices you'd willing topay for a SS helmet.
Collecting should be fun not a drainage on revenue.
Lucky me for living in Europe.

I'm afraid prices are same in US and Europe. Check UK, German etc dealers/shows...Unless you have seen reproductions....

You will find bargains all over the world (for instance garage/yard sales) .. because seller have no idea of market value..
ps. Redgemak suggested that in Europe orginall skulls cost always a few bucks ..yeah right...

Come on guys, they are not that rare, they made millions of them.
But in the end, it is what you are willing to pay for one.
