    The medal of the Iron Division was founded by the Association of Former member of the Iron Division in 1920 by order of the commander in chief of the volunteer Rissischen Western Army, Major General Prince Awaloff. After losing to the Latvian army in November 1919, the remaining Freikorps returned to Germany.     Thank you very much for the information! It looks like it was just grouped with the SS items because of the similar skull motif.
