    Afternoon gents,

I've done that silly thing I do, and jumped at a random opportunity for almost-free stuff. I've spent the afternoon trying to figure out if I've hit anything good, but there's so many variants I've just been overwhelmed. Here's what I've got:

It has an old metal smell, with a hint of sulphur.
Some corrosion in areas, and that dirt is wedged there solid.
The 'white stuff' seems to be oxidized metal.
It seems to be stamped metal, not cast.

I'll be posting more detailed pictures if it's not thrown out the window as a really bad fake instantly.

Probably should have taken some pictures before cleaning it. Halp?

Panzer collar patch and probably original, as hardly worth faking one of these in such poor condition yet, though if it had been SS, it might have been worth faking as a relic.
    Regards,

    Jerry

    Whatever its just an opinion.

Thanks for the input gents. I know it's not in the best of shape, but we all have to start somewhere. Now that I know what it is, time to do some research on Panzer collar patches! Should make a nice filler piece for my German display.

Looks like someone repaired this skull witch grey colour paste or something like this
This skull is orginal and was heavy damaged by the soil.
On the upper right side of this skull you can see the remains of pin attachement (grey circle)
No doubt this is orginal Pancer skull witch typical for this type of skulls attachment points
I think this picture was taken after cleaning and repaired by grey resin or paste or something like this
