    Default SS badge?

Does any one have any ideas on the attached badge? It was passed down to me from my dad, who was a coin collector, in the early late fifties/ early SS badge?SS badge?SS badge?sixties he swapped some coins with a friend in Jersey for the "SS badge" and a Luff pilots badge (now sold).

The SS were not in Jersey, but they were on another Channel island Alderney, but they were camp SS, the local view is they never went through Jersey but commuted directly via France.

I have heard a story from a local relative, that some casualties from France after DDay were taken to Jersey, so there could have been some SS among them. I have shown it to a local collector friend who said it was a type of SS club badge?

If any one could help me it would be very much appreciated,

I remember these for sale in the 1970's. They are British made.

    Cheers, Ade.

That is why I never saw one of these fantasy badges. I doubt that many made their way across the Atlantic. The 1970's was still an era of plenty and there would be little demand for such an item among militaria collectors. Welcome to the Forum and thank you for sharing this interesting old fake.
