Re: SS cap eagle 1936 pattern

I was tempted to post some side-by-side comparisons of these with an original, highlighting some of the specific details which are clear indications to me that these are fakes, but I share the concern with many that doing so will serve to help the fakers in improving their next generation of copies. I may still at least post photos of an original 155/36 by itself and allow others to judge for themselves how these differ from it.
It is plain that this 155/36 piece is a creature of our posts, is it not? I do not recall them five years ago, do you? I can assure you that the fake black SS enlisted cap has been transformed by our pictures. I look with a sense of resignation on all of this, but there is no reason for others to profit from our precious and specialized expertise.
Challenge and response are a normal feature of all human existence, especially human conflict.
I wish I had better eye sight as well as a steady hand to make photos of all of mine (...and I have more than some...), but neither obtains to me.
Thanks for the kind aid here.
I found a very good article in UM on the manufacture of cap badges ca. 1936. I shall have to post it.
